Shihpoo
A Shihpoo is a Designer Dog between a Shihpoo and a Toy Poodle. They make wonderful family pets as they take the best of both breeds. This cross gives a smooth silky wavy coat with a well-balanced and proportioned dog.
The Shihpoo is a happy and fun-loving playful breed. They have a charming character, are attentive and love human affection. They are personable and bright. They get along great with other pets, cats or dogs.
Shih-poos are gentle natured and can be a little mischievous. They are good with obedience training and learn tricks easily too. They are generally good with children, but may be snappy if teased. This hybrids intelligence makes housebreaking an easy chore.
Shih-poos are quite healthy benefiting from gene mixing and avoiding many of the hereditary health problems Shih-Tzu and Poodles are known to have. Shih-poos will live up to 14 years with good health.
Shih-poo Care & Grooming:
Shih-poos thrive well indoors and require only moderate exercise. They are very active yet and do enjoy the occasional walks and trips to the dog park.
Shih-poo shed very little, making them a great hypoallergenic breed. They have a full coat of hair that should trimmed monthly by a professional groomer to keep the hair from matting. Regular brushing will keep the coat clean and tangle free.
I choose my parents not just for looks but for temperment and health as I breed for family pet quality.
Maltipoo
Maltepoos are extremely intelligent, eager to please, and very loyal to their human family. The Maltepoo is a natural for the family as it is happy to be your companion - ready to play and romp with the kids or curl up in Mom's lap. They are loving and gentle dogs.
Maltepoos can make great therapy dogs and have an uncanny instinct to gravitate towards an ill or needy person, whether that be a child or an adult.
The size of a Maltepoo will vary depending on its pedigree but generally maltepoos are between 5 and 12 lbs. These dogs are non-shedding, and can be found in a variety of colors, though light colors are more common.
The coat is soft and fluffy, slight wave to curl. Because the Maltipoo/Maltepoo is a cross, the coat can have different textures and feel according to which dominant gene the puppy draws.
